It’s Election Tuesday but don’t fear fantasy faithful I’ve got you covered for waiver wire Tuesday. Here are some players fantasy owners should pick up for Week 10.
Kapri Bibbs, RB, Denver Broncos
Here we go again Broncos fans. There may be turmoil in Denver’s backfield. For the second week in a row, running back Devontae Booker failed to impress on the ground. Last Sunday at Oakland, he rushed ten times for 22 yards after rushing 19 times for just 54 yards in Week 8. Bibbs on the other hand hasn’t had much work in the running game but he did take a 69-yard screen pass to the house Sunday. The Broncos’ coaching staff noticed. Denver Post reporter Cameron Wolfe tweeted that Bibbs should see more touches going forward.
Dion Lewis, RB, New England Patriots
The return of New England Patriots running back Dion Lewis is upon us. Lewis returned to practice Oct. 27th and the Patriots have three weeks to activate him from that date or he will be placed on season-ending injured reserve. Given how well LeGarrette Blount has been playing and given that Lewis is coming off an injury, I don’t expect him to be quite the stud he was last year. Still, he should be seen as a fine option in a season where running backs are very valuable.
James Starks, RB, Green Bay Packers
As a talent, Green Bay running back James Starks is nothing special but right now, itap looking like he’ll be the only viable option the Packer will have. With Eddie Lacy on injured reserve and Starks nursing a meniscus tear, the Packers traded for former Chiefs back Knile Davis and promoted Don Jackson from the practice squad. Green Bay has also used receivers Randall Cobb and Ty Montgomery as running backs. The Packers have cut Davis which leads me to believe that Starks will return soon. Those in need at the running back position should pick him up.
Austin Hooper, TE, Atlanta Falcons
Falcons tight end Austin Hooper made the most of a start with Jacob Tamme out. Hooper had three catches for 46 yards and a touchdown. With Charles Clay, Eric Ebron, Dwayne Allen and Jack Doyle all on byes. Hooper could be a plug and play option if Tamme can’t go again this Sunday against the Eagles. That is a tough matchup though.
DuJuan Harris, RB, San Francisco 49ers
With 49ers starting running back Carlos Hyde still not practicing, fantasy owners have to like DuJuan Harris’ chances at getting a lot of work Sunday vs. the Cardinals and moving forward. Harris rushed for 59 yards on ten carries in the 49ers loss against the Saints Sunday. He also caught five passes for 83 yards and a touchdown.

Redux
Rob Kelley, RB, Washington Redskins
Washington back Rob Kelley appears to be in the driver seat as head coach Jay Gruden said he would get the bulk of the carries and fellow back Matt Jones “Will have to earn his way back.” The news is big and Kelley will get the rock for as long as he continues to produce but the shadow of Jones (a third-round draft pick) is not gone.
Takeaways
Broncobusters
Itap not just an anomaly anymore. Itap a trend. I’m talking about opposing running backs going off on the Broncos’ rush defense. Look at the numbers: Jeremy Hill: 97 rush yards, two scores, Devonta Freeman: 88 yards and a touchdown, Melvin Gordon Week 6: 94 yards, Gordon Week 8: 111 yards, Latavius Murray: 114 yards and three scores. Start your running backs against the Broncos.
Purple Fantasy Eaters Part 2
The Minnesota Vikings are again robbing fantasy owners of points. This time itap not their defense doing the damage to fantasy owners but their offense. The Vikings haven’t scored more than 16 points since Week 5 against Houston. Needless to say, fantasy numbers have been dicey for Minnesota’s fantasy-relevant stars. With offensive coordinator Norv Turner resigning, the Vikings offense is headed for a change. Hopefully that means more points for fantasy owners. But for now, Vikings make for questionable starts at best.
