Dylan McCaffrey threw for 221 yards and four TDs and the Valor Christian defense pitched its second straight shutout as the Eagles cruised past Cherokee Trail 42-0 in the first round of the 5A playoffs on Friday night at Valor Stadium.
McCaffrey also rushed for a score, while younger brother Luke McCaffrey had six catches for 119 yards and three touchdowns. Sophomore running back Joshia Davis also had a big night on the ground for the Eagles with 18 carries for 125 yards.
Valor Christian (8-3, 5-0) now faces No. 6 Grandview next week in the 5A quarterfinals, while the Cougars close their season at 5-6.
