The Broncos’ Week 12 game against the Chiefs in Denver on Nov. 27 was flexed to 6:30 p.m. on NBC’s Sunday Night Football, the NFL announced Monday.
The game, which was originally scheduled for a 2:25 p.m. kickoff at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, will be the Broncos’ first following their bye week. Overall, Denver is 21-6-0 in their first game following a bye and 15-3 at home.
“I think they’re more excited about taking a break right now, but I did mention it to them that we’ll be playing on Sunday night,” coach Gary Kubiak said. “We’re going to be playing in a lot of big games and (the Chiefs) have been playing as well as anybody in football. I think they’re 17-2 in regular-season games (since Oct. 25, 2015) and I watched a little bit of their game (Sunday). Great football team, great atmosphere. We’ll be ready to go.”

It will also be the Broncos’ 31st primetime game since John Elway joined the front office in 2011, the most of any team in that span. Denver is 13-1 (.929) in primetime at home over the last five years and is unbeaten (7-0) at home on “Sunday Night Football.”
The last Broncos game on Sunday Night Football in Denver was their 2015 overtime victory against the Patriots, when running back C.J. Anderson ran 48 yards for the game-winning touchdown.
The league also announced that the Patriots-Jets game on Nov. 27 will be moved to 2:25 p.m. on CBS.
