Brighton police are investigating after a fight between two women ended with one of them being stabbed early Monday.

Officers responded to 94 S. Miller Ave., just after midnight on a report of a disturbance.

Two women, a 25-year-old and a 36-year-old, were fighting, said John Bradley, Brighton police spokesman.

“While officers were en route to the location, they were advised that one of the parties in the fight had a knife, and one person had been stabbed,” according to Brighton police.

The 36-year-old stabbing victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive. No charges have been filed and police have not yet identified either woman, pending the outcome of the investigation.
