A pedestrian hit by a vehicle in Denver on Monday night has died of injuries, police said.
The fatal incident happened at about 7:10 p.m. at the intersection of East 11th Avenue and Grant Street, according to the Denver Police Department.
The pedestrian, a man, was crossing the intersection against the light, he had a red light, when he was hit, said Doug Schepman, Denver police spokesman.
The pedestrian died at the scene, Schepman said. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
Traffic around the intersection, in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, was affected, and police advised drivers to take alternate routes.
An investigation is ongoing.
