
Schoolyard fighting. Police were called to Adams City Middle School, 4451 E 72nd Ave, Commerce City on Oct. 26 because a student punched a teacher while the teacher was trying to break up a fight between that student and another kid. The kid was suspended and cited for harassment.
Knife challenge. A man who works in the 11800 block of Washington Street, Northglenn, called police Oct. 6 because a man with a knife approached him and set the knife on the ground in front of him, daring the victim to pick it up and fight the man. He refused, so the suspect walked away.
Damaged entry points. A man who lives in the 9700 block of Kittredge Street, Commerce City, came home Oct. 25 and noticed that his back gate was open. While walking around the house, he saw pry marks and screens pulled out on all the windows and doors in the back of the house. There are no suspects.
Apartment tussle. A woman who lives in an apartment in the 11800 block of Washington Street, Northglenn, called police on her boyfriend Sept. 30 because the two were fighting and wrestling. The boyfriend took off, but police found him. No one was cited because they gave conflicting stories.
Running loose. Commerce City police officers spent an afternoon chasing a loose dog in the area of 68th Avenue and Birch Street on Oct. 24. They couldn’t find the dog’s owner, so they took it to the police department and cited the owner when she finally showed up later.
Shed vandals. A woman called Northglenn police to her home in the 400 block of East 116th Avenue on Oct. 3 because someone used blue spray paint to tag the shed in her backyard. There are no suspects.
