Aurora police arrested a person of interest in the slaying of a man at a Travelodge following a chase Friday afternoon.

An adult man was taken to the hospital from the hotel on 6th Avenue east of Interstate 225 early Thanksgiving morning with a gunshot wound. He eventually succumbed to his injuries, according to the Aurora Police Department.

On Friday, Denver police assisted Aurora in the pursuit of two suspects, one of whom is a person of interest in the Travelodge death, eventually arresting the two at 8th Avenue and Canosa Court. Both the suspects were taken to a hospital for injuries following the chase.

The identity of the person of interest has not been released, according to the Denver Police Department.
