Colorado Springs police are investigating the deaths of two females whose bodies were discovered early Tuesday morning in a southwest residential neighborhood.
The bodies were found inside a home on the 3500 block of Mosswood Lane, said Lt. Howard Black, a Colorado Springs police spokesman.
Someone inside the home called at 2:53 a.m., reporting that they had discovered a body inside the home, Black said.
When police arrived, they found two bodies with traumatic injuries, he said. It’s not clear whether the person who called 911 was shot after making the call.
“We’re still in the very preliminary stages of the investigation,” Black said.
It appeared the two had been shot to death, Black said.
The police department’s violent crimes section is investigating.
“This is an active investigation. Detectives are conducting interviews and processing the crime scene,” Black said.
