A man is dead after a shooting late Monday in Adams County, authorities say, and an investigation into the case is under way.
The county sheriff’s office says it was called by Denver police about 9 p.m. on a report that a man had been brought to a hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.
“After arriving at the hospital, we learned that the shooting occurred near the 5700 block of Logan Street,” the Adams County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. “Deputies responded to Logan Street and were able to locate a crime scene in that area.”
The man died at the hospital.
Sheriff’s investigators say they are investigating the death as a homicide. The slain man’s name has not been released and officials have not announced any arrests.
“This is an ongoing investigation and additional details cannot be released at this time,” the release said.
