Interview with Kristin Snow Ledgerwood, owner
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: I’ve always been drawn to creating beautiful things. I spent my early years, while living in Chicago, submerged in an interior design career and decided to go back to school for fun and fell in love with the baking and pastry world. Fast forward 10 years or so, and my husband and children inspired me to take a risk and follow my creativity and baking passions further. I left the corporate world to solidify and grow my business that started in wholesale, markets and referrals by opening a pastry, cake and candy shop.

:My focus is really on creating memories through amazing food and having a community space where everyone can come together. I offer high-end pastries, cakes and more that aim to wow you through your senses. Baking is very nostalgic for me. I want to create and recreate memories for my customers, making them happy through my tasty treats while opening up my space where they can enjoy them.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: My ultimate joy is in my customers. I love their reactions when they take a bite out of a treat and are enamored with how delicious and delectable it is.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: Space is probably our biggest challenge. Our shop is in an older building in Evergreen and so we have to be creative with how we use it in order to get the most out of it.
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
:The biggest surprise that people find is that my name is not Vivian. I named the business after my daughter — she is such an inspiration to me. Her creative and lighthearted manor reminds me of the important things — the little things. She and my son, Keaghan, keep me grounded and remind me everyday why I am doing this. So if a customer calls me Vivian I don’t mind at all.
