Tattoo shop owner witnesses vandalism. On Nov. 22, Lakewood police responded to Celebrity Tattoo, 11730 W. Colfax Ave., on a report of mischief. The shop owner said he pulled into the parking lot to find a man damaging his store sign. When confronted, the suspect tried to fight the owner and urinated on his car.

Man threatened with pipe. A man called police during a road rage incident Nov. 22 near First Avenue and Teller Street, Lakewood where he claimed the other man had a metal pipe. Police contacted both parties and at first the man denied having a pipe. He later admitted to having one, but not using it threateningly. He was cited for mischief.

Woman forgot she stole. On Nov. 22, a woman was cited for shoplifting at Walmart, 7455 W. Colfax Ave., Lakewood, but claimed memory loss. The woman was observed by police placing items in her purse and tried to leave the store without paying. The suspect said she had no memory of how she arrived at the store. She had a previous warrant for shoplifting.

Cyclist irate. A cyclist was cited Nov. 23 after he was involved in an altercation with a motorist near the intersection of West Colfax Avenue and Eaton Street, Lakewood. The suspect was riding his bike with two attached trailers. One of the trailers detached and was struck by a motorist. The suspect then became irate and ripped off the driver’s license plate.

Hard to steal TVs. On Nov. 25, a man was seen trying to steal two TVs from Walmart, 440 Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood. The suspect was seen trying to leave out of some locked doors, then proceeded past all points of sale before being stopped. The suspect claimed he was waiting for his mother to come and pay, but couldn’t answer why he tried to leave the store.
