Benjamin Forbes.Charges of sexual assault on a child have been filed against a former Westminster High School teacher.
Benjamin Forbes, 30, was and is suspected of sexual assaults on a female student between Aug. 1 and Dec. 1, according to the Adams County district attorney’s office.
Forbes has been charged with one count of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust and one count of sexual assault on a child as a pattern of abuse, both felonies.
Forbes was advised of the charges Tuesday afternoon. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 8 in district court in Adams County. Forbes is free on a personal recognizance bond.
