A 25-year-old man was hit and killed by a car near the intersection of College Avenue and Saturn Drive Friday night in Fort Collins.

Gary Vandriel, 55, was driving a Chevrolet Camaro when he hit the pedestrian, who was crossing College Avenue from east to west, according to the Fort Collins Police Services. Vandriel was not injured.

Police do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved. The intersection was closed for roughly four hours.
