Wild-card race
Denver fell to 8-5 with its loss Sunday. It next faces the three best AFC teams record-wise: New England, at Kansas City and Oakland. Five AFC playoff spots appear wrapped up, with the four division champions and either Oakland or Kansas City grabbing a wild-card. That leaves one spot left, which Denver currently occupies as the sixth seed.
