
Just a test. Arvada police responded to a report of felony menacing Dec. 2 in the 5600 block of W. 60th Ave., where a man was confronted at his home by his former employer. The man had called his boss inquiring about his final paycheck and shortly after the employer showed up at the victim’s home and stood on the driveway revving a chainsaw. When the victim called the police the suspect left. When officers caught up with the suspect he claimed he was simply testing his chainsaw to see if it worked.
Shower suspicions. An argument broke out between a man and his fiance at their home in the 7200 block of Union Court, Arvada, on Nov. 28 at 10:31 a.m. when the female accused her fiance of masterbating in the shower. In her anger she tried to leave but the male party blocked the doorway and told her she couldn’t. The female party called the police and her fiance was cited with domestic violence false imprisonment.
Set up. Arvada police were called to 7-Eleven, 7355 W. 58th Ave., at 1:41 a.m. Nov. 11 on a report of theft. The store employee claimed to see a woman hide a pair of $6 gloves in her jacket pocket and leave without paying. Officers confirmed his claim with surveillance footage. They located the suspect nearby who said, “This isn’t my coat, I’m being set up.” When officers finally got her name and ran it through the statewide database, they found four active warrants for her out of the Arvada Police Department.Couldn’t hold it. On Nov. 28 at 3:47 p.m. a man at his home in the 7900 block of West 82nd Place, Arvada, noticed an unfamiliar vehicle parked in front of his house. Upon inspection he found an unconscious man in the driver’s seat with his pants unzipped. The resident then noticed a wet spot on the street near the car. Assuming it was urine, he called the police. Officers noted the suspect was intoxicated, but did confirm he had peed in the street, claiming it was “better than peeing my pants.” He was cited with urinating in public and sent to detox.
