Village idiot. After receiving reports about a man creating a disturbance inside and possibly peeing on the Village Inn at 207 W. Wolfsenberger Road, Castle Rock, on Nov. 18, police were again called to the restaurant Nov. 19 about the same man harassing a waitress. Police located the suspect, also accused of trying to fight someone at a nearby motel that day, and told him that if he entered Village Inn again he’d be arrested for trespassing.

Pills goes poof. A woman living in the 900 block of Parsons Avenue, Castle Rock, reported Nov. 25 that a large number of narcotic pharmaceutical pills had vanished from her home sometime in the last eight weeks. She noticed that a pouch of Hydromorphone she kept in her nightstand was open and 55 pills were gone. She checked two other stores of pain pills in her house to find they had been raided too. She suspected someone with her maid service but the case was deactivated for lack of info.

Teller stands tall. An employee at the U.S. Bank branch at 7350 Park Meadows Drive, Lone Tree, called police Dec. 2 because a customer was being subjected to an extortion attempt. The victim did not transfer money to the suspect.

Duped for a scoop. Police were called to the Yogurtini frozen yogurt shop at 9996 Commons St., Lone Tree on Nov. 30, because a customer passed a counterfeit $50 bill there. Only limited suspect information available.

Pirate plates. A man was arrested Dec. 3 after a traffic stop near the intersection of Willow Street and East County Line Road in Lone Tree revealed that his license plates were fictitious. He was also in possession of more than 2 ounces of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
