Interview with Ana Melara, trainer and behavior counselor
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
:I’ve been a dog trainer in the Denver Metro Area since 2001.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
:We are different than other dog-related businesses because we get it — we have experienced what many owners are going through with their furry family members. We listen to your story. We guide you to create a new story with great results.
:I get to see the successes that happen with our clients and their dogs. We see families who may be considering giving up their dog or have been misguided in the past. We listen to their story and set them on a path to great success. We love our clients and their people.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
:Keeping up — we are a wonderfully successful business. I find it a challenge to keep up with the demand for the high quality private dog training, boarding, classes and exercise programs that we offer. There are so many people who need our support for their dogs. We are often looking to hire new team members.
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
:Each year, our business donates over $75,000 in training services to local rescues, families in need and to area shelters. We also present a rescue and shelter volunteer training workshop free to all shelters and rescues four times per year paid for completely by us.
