Winter Park Express ski train adds another car to meet demand from Denver Union Station

Three cars and a locomotive will be wrapped in sponsor CenturyLink’s logos

As Winter Park prepares for the revival of the historic Denver ski train, the ski area and Amtrak have enlisted CenturyLink as a sponsor of the weekend Winter Park Express.

, the ski area and Amtrak on Thursday announced it was adding more capacity on the .

“We will adding an additional car to the inventory because sales are strong,” Amtrak spokesman Marc Magliari said.

Three cars and one locomotive on the Winter Park Express — which runs every weekend from Jan. 7 through March 26, including two holiday Mondays — will be wrapped in CenturyLink logos.

Tickets for the rail service have been on sale since August. In addition to adding capacity, Amtrak said it was expediting group bookings and offering private railcars with upgraded service.
