A man claiming to have a gun robbed a Wells Fargo bank and took off running in Lakewood Saturday afternoon, leading police to urge people to stay indoors as they search for him.
The robbery occurred at 2:05 p.m. at the Wells Fargo at Jewell Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard. No one was injured.
Police spokesman Ty Countryman said the robber claimed to have a gun but did not show one. The investigation is still active and police are advising people near that area to stay in their houses.
