McRobbery. A male dressed in a uniform resembling a pest control suit robbed a McDonald’s, 3902 Wadsworth Blvd., Wheat Ridge, at gunpoint Dec. 10. He was gone by the time officers arrived.

Pills, and pot and booze — oh my! On Dec. 2 Arvada police officers were dispatched to the area of 80th Place and Chase Drive in response to a car accident. A man in his car had been struck by another vehicle mid-turn. The driver of the responsible vehicle was crying and hyperventilating when officers arrived. She admitted to drinking alcohol and taking Vicodin earlier that day. Officers found marijuana in her car and in her purse. She denied being intoxicated, but when asked to perform roadside maneuvers, she was unable to and said, “I can’t do that when I’m sober.”

Arvada’s got a Grinch. On Dec. 2, a resident in the 11500 block of West 77th Drive, Arvada, reported that two Christmas light displays, each valued at $50, were stolen from the resident’s front yard. There are no suspects.

Christmas spirits. A couple living in the 9400 block of West 57th Avenue, Arvada, were arguing after returning home from a Christmas party Dec. 3. The female party, who said she drank seven glasses of wine, was heavily intoxicated and fighting her boyfriend for the keys to the car. After pushing him down and taking the keys, she drove the car into a wall. She was cited for domestic violence and driving under the influence.
