The Broncos signed tight end Austin Traylor to the practice Tuesday, filling a spot left open when outside linebacker Vontarrius Dora was promoted to the active roster.
Traylor, a 6-foot-3, 255-pound rookie out of Wisconsin, signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in May and was later added to the practice squad. He was released in September and spent time on the practice squads of the Chargers, Patriots and, most recently, the Ravens.
At Wisconsin, Traylor played in 38 games (18 starts) and had 17 catches for 234 yards and four touchdowns.
A McCaffrey signs. Wide receiver Max McCaffrey, the oldest son of Lisa McCaffrey and former Broncos receiver Ed McCaffrey, was signed to Green Bay’s practice squad Tuesday.
Max (6-foot-2, 200 pounds) joined the Raiders as an undrafted free agent in May, but was cut in late August when training camp rosters were trimmed. The former Valor Christian star played at Duke.
