Robert Leibold, 36, was sentenced to three years in prison after he set his belongings on fire with a half-gallon of gasoline in November, burning down the home where he had been renting a room.

Leibold, who lived in Idaho Springs, called 911 shortly after setting the fire and pleaded guilty to second-degree arson on Dec. 21, according to the Colorado 5th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. He was sentenced to three years of parole.

The district attorney’s office said Leibold had been renting a room in the home for a year.  that Leibold had recently been evicted from the home before setting the fire.
