The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help finding 27-year-old David Craine, a suspect in a fatal shooting Thursday in Englewood.

Deputies believe on the 3100 block of West Girard Avenue late Thursday night with a friend. Craine and the woman have a history of domestic violence and have a child, said Julie Brooks, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s department.

Craine and his friend found the male victim in the woman’s apartment and an argument broke out among the three, Brooks said. It spilled into the parking lot, where Craine’s friend and the victim got into a fist fight. The friend wound up “on the losing end of the fight,” she said.

Investigators believe Craine pulled out a gun, shot and killed the 36-year-old man.

The sheriff’s department has an arrest warrant for Craine, who has his last name tattooed on his neck. The department warned people not to approach Craine, saying he is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Authorities ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to immediately contact local law enforcement or Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7891.
