
In police said the boy, whose name they gave only as David, was last seen around 5:30 p.m. in the 15700 block of East Amherst Place in Aurora. That is roughly near the intersection of South Chambers Road and East Yale Avenue. Police said David has a history of wandering.
By Saturday night, the search had grown to include help from the Denver Police Department’s helicopter and a bloodhound from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Aurora’s police chief wrote on Twitter that he was among the officers searching for the boy.

David is 4 feet tall and weighs 48 pounds, with light brown hair and blue/green eyes, police said. He was last seen wearing camouflage pants, a black shirt, a tan coat, and black and orange boots.
Anyone who sees David should call 911.
