Root Down bartender Mike Henderson.One of our favorite boozy magicians, Mike Henderson, kicked off the new year with a big change: He left his post as beverage director for Edible Beats, the group that owns Root Down, Linger, Ophelia’s and Vital Root. Henderson helped kick off the craft cocktail revolution in Denver and has held the job for the past five years.
“Mike is looking to pursue new opportunities, and Justin (Cucci) and the rest of the Edible Beats family are excited for his next venture and wish him the best,” the Edible Beats team tells us.
No word on his replacement or future plans, but we’ll be drinking one of his famous tangy/sweet concoctions in his honor. Salud.
