Not supposed to be back here. On Dec. 22, a Lakewood police officer responded to Walmart, 440 Wadsworth Blvd., after an unwanted man was reported to be in the stockroom. The suspect claimed he was a transfer employee, but fled when police arrived. He was eventually caught by an officer and admitted to not working at Walmart. He was cited for trespassing.
Bar cited for late serving. A Lakewood police officer on Dec. 21, made a stop when he noticed there were lights on and people inside Cleopatra’s Bar, 6045 W. Alameda Ave. at nearly 4 a.m. He was let inside and had noticed that two people inside had been drinking out of a plastic cup. The bartender claimed the drink was nonalcoholic, but the man drinking related that it had vodka in it. The bartender was issued a summons for serving after hours.
Shoplifter makes no attempt to hide. On Dec. 21, a woman was arrested after she was caught shoplifting at King Soopers, 6794 W. Third Ave., Lakewood. The suspect was observed entering the store, grabbing a plastic bag and filling it with various items before trying to leave. The woman said she did not know why she did it, but had the money to pay for the items.Hotel wall punched. Lakewood Police responded to a disturbance between two men Dec. 24 at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott, 800 Tabor St. The manager told police he went to investigate the disturbance and called police. He later found the hole in the wall that one of the men said was his fault because he hit the wall in anger didn’t realize how thin it was. The man was cited for mischief.
