A man apparently died in an exchange of gunfire between three men who had been thrown out of the Players Club in Adams County and security guards for the club early Sunday.
Adams County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the club at 6710 Federal Blvd. after someone reported shots fired at 4:39 a.m., according to a Sheriff’s Office release.
The deputies found the dead man in a car, and learned “that three parties had been removed from Players Club earlier in the evening. Those three males came back to the club and shots were fired from their vehicle towards armed security on scene, ” the release said.
The security guards returned fire, hitting one man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, and detained the two other suspects.
One of them faces charges of seven counts of attempted homicide with extreme indifference.
All the involved parties have been detained, or are in custody, and present no threat to the public, the sheriff’s office said.
