The pants have ears. In the 5700 block of W. 35th Ave., Wheat Ridge, on Jan. 2 a male suspect was reported running naked through the neighborhood. When police contacted him he said he had to take off his clothes because someone was tracking him through his clothing. He was cited with public indecency.
Really, really annoying. On Dec. 29 Arvada police were dispatched to the intersection of 55th Avenue and Wadsworth Bypass in response to a phone call to the police station in which the caller stated he was going to kill someone and wanted to be stopped. When officers contacted the suspect he thanked them for taking him into custody. At the police station he told officers he had threatened a female acquaintance with a meat cleaver because she “would not shut up.” He was cited with felony menacing and domestic violence enhancer.
Knock, knock. Hotel staff at Best Interstate Inn, 4735 Kipling St., Wheat Ridge, called police on Dec. 31 because a man was knocking on random doors throughout the hotel. The suspect was refused by the the Arapahoe House West Metro Rehab Clinic and was transported to Lutheran Medical Center for detox.
Yo quiero Taco Bell. A woman stole a delivery food car in the 4600 block of Kipling Street on Dec. 19. When the driver saw the suspect driving away he chased the car to the Taco Bell a block away. The owner of the vehicle managed to jump partially inside the car and the suspect drove in aggressive circles trying to eject him. She then stopped the car, fled on foot and was apprehended by Wheat Ridge police.
