
Construction site robbed. The supervisor of a construction site in the 1100 block of 24th Street, Golden, reported Dec. 27 that several items were missing from the site. He said all tools were taken from inside a trailer onsite sometime between Dec. 22 and Dec. 27. The trailer had a digital lock but workers found all doors unlocked when they returned from the holiday weekend. There were no suspects.
Vehicles vandalized. Golden Police received a phone report Dec. 26 of a vehicle trespass and criminal mischief in the 900 block of Golden Park Drive. The vehicle’s owner said she found her vehicle broken into, her gas cap missing and papers strewn throughout the inside. Earlier that week, a burglary suspect admitted to breaking into several vehicles in the 1200 block of Washington Avenue nearby.
TV on the run. On Dec. 20, a loss prevention associate at Kohl’s, 16700 W. Colfax Ave., reported the theft of a 32-inch television. Surveillance showed, and witnesses confirmed, a man running out the front door of the store carrying the TV. However, there was no description of the associated vehicle, so the case was closed.
Stolen truck recovered. Golden police on patrol Dec. 22 noticed a vehicle in the parking lot of King Soopers, 17171 S. Golden Road, covered in snow consistent with snowfall five days prior. The officer ran a check of the license plate and found the truck was reported stolen out of Denver. There were no immediate signs of forced entry, but while the vehicle was in tow to Denver, its trunk popped open. There were no suspects.
