Rambo. On Dec. 6, police were called to an apartment complex in the 1400 block of North Dallas Street because someone used a black marker to scrawl the word “Rambo” on the fire exit sign, the hallway wall, an apartment door and the community room door. The unknown suspects also wrote “I’ll be back” on the trash room door.
House broke. Police were called to the 17100 block of East Adriatic Place on Dec. 21 because a man who just moved into one of the apartments there the day before had punched holes in the walls and smashed out the sliding glass door. His lease was terminated.
Ten-minute window. A man parked his car in the 6800 block of South Liverpool Street to run an errand Dec. 22. Ten minutes later, he came out and saw that someone broke the driver’s side window and stole his backpack out of the front seat, which contained a pistol and two magazines.
Screen tampering. A couple returned to their home in the 1200 block of Akron Street after dinner Dec. 3 and noticed that someone had removed the screens from their rear basement windows and tried, unsuccessfully, to break in with rocks. There are no suspects.
Stolen items handed over. Store security at King Soopers, 3190 S. Parker Road, caught a man hiding several toiletry products in his coat and pants Dec. 19. The suspect was approached by an employee in the store, so he handed over the merchandise and then took off.
Hallway fight. On Dec. 24, police responded to the 1000 block of South Dearborn Street because a man and woman were arguing outside their apartment. No crimes were committed.
