Interview with Ryan Sharp, owner
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: I was introduced to the health and wellness industry six years ago when I was looking to expand my education. Initially, I was pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology. However, once introduced to massage, I realized the fulfillment that came with helping people in pain. It was a goal of mine to open a center that offered multiple modalities to help people find the right fit for them to improve their health.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: I think what sets us apart from like-minded businesses is our dedication to creating a truly personalized treatment plan for every client. Our smaller staff and space allows us to really delve into each client’s personal health history and what might be the best plan of action for them. Our ayurvedic offerings are also something unmatched by any business in the Denver area. Our staff is very well educated and experienced to deal with a wide range of health issues. We are not like any other massage or yoga studio.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
:Witnessing a client finally make a breakthrough in their chronic health conditions that have plagued them for years. Seeing someone make true, lasting change in their life is quite motivating and inspiring.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: Being a brand new business, our biggest challenge is reaching the people who we think would best benefit from our services. We are doing a lot of community outreach and free events that are open to the public that will introduce everyone to the services we offer.
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A: I think people would be surprised to know we are trying to create a culture where people don’t feel the need to come in to our space to improve their health. We pride ourselves on educating clients about their bodies and in ways to take care of themselves on their own, rather than relying on our practitioners and instructors. This way, our treatments become more of a desired treatment rather than a necessity or relationship of codependency.
