A sketch of a man who “suspiciously” approached two school children in Boulder was released Wednesday by police.
The incident happened about 4:30 p.m. Monday on Alpine Avenue just west of Broadway, according to a Boulder Police Department news release.
Two girls were walking home from school when the man, driving a dirty, white SUV or pickup with a camper shell yelled at the pair: “Hey, get back here.”
The girls ran home, and this may have stopped the man from following them, police said.
Police describe the driver of the vehicle as a white man in his late 30s or early 40s, about 6-foot-0 and 175 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and a full beard and mustache. At the time of the incident the man was wearing all black clothing.
Anyone who recognizes the man in the sketch or has information about the case is asked to call Detective Andrew Kirshbaum at 303-441-1851. Tips can be left with Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477) or submitted to crimeshurt.com.
