Chaparral defeats Mountain Vista in Continental League boys basketball opener

Chaparral topped Mountain Vista in the Continental League opener for both teams, as the Wolverines rode  into an eventual in Parker.

Junior forward Wayne Fish with 24 points and freshman point guard Kobe Sanders added 15 points as coach Tellus Truesdale and Chaparral (8-6) bounced back from a 92-71 loss to No. 2 George Washington on Jan. 10.

Coach Robert Wood and the Golden Eagles (9-5) are back in action on Jan. 17 at home against Castle View, while the Wolverines host Ponderosa that same night.
