Getting your player ready...

If your new year’s resolutions are already distant memories, congratulations — you’re just like the rest of America. Also, that means you can eat fried chicken guilt-free. Lots of fried chicken. The Post Chicken & Beer — newly opened on south Broadway (or the Rosedale neighborhood, for those playing Denver gentrification Bingo) — can help you out with that.

The Post got its start in Lafayette in 2014, and, if you use the amount of time diners are willing to wait to snag a table as a judge of its worthiness, then it’s pretty darn good.

Besides the traditional fried chicken, you’ll want to check out the buttermilk cheddar biscuits, fried chicken bahn mi sandwich and — surprise! It’s not chicken! — the Saturday night slow roasted prime rib blue plate special. Oh, and in case you can’t tell by the name, they also have beer.

The Post Chicken & Beer is at 2200 S. Broadway, Denver; 720.466.5699; ; Open at 4 p.m. daily (lunch and brunch service starting soon)
