A 15-year-old girl was taken to a hospital after she was struck by a vehicle at a Thornton intersection while crossing the road on foot early Friday morning, police say.

The collision happened at 6:25 a.m.at the intersection of 108th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, Thornton police spokesman Matt Barnes said.

The name of the girl has not been released.

She was taken to a hospital “non-emergent” for treatment of leg injuries, Barnes said.
