Sen. Owen Hill stated that Betsy DeVos is a political outsider. I am originally from Michigan. She has been involved in politics in Michigan since I can remember. Her husband ran for governor. Betsy DeVos has been chair of the Republican Party in Michigan. The DeVos family has been a major donor to conservative political campaigns.To say that she is a political outsider is simply not true.
