Davidson is a 33-year-old native of Japan who signed with the Charlotte Independence last March. He appeared in 30 games (28 starts) last year and scored two goals. Davidson played two seasons in MLS for the Vancouver Whitecaps from 2012-13 appearing in 50 games (48 starts) and tallying one assist. He began his pro career in Japan in 2002.

A 6-foot-1 goalkeeper who appeared in 10 games last season for Charlotte, making 35 saves and posting a 1.00 goals-against average. The 25-year-old Georgia native turned pro in 2013, signing with the Atlanta Silverbacks of the NASL after his junior season at Clemson University. He also played for the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the NASL.
Academy goalkeepers
A 19-year-old goalkeeper currently enrolled at Creighton University. He spent time training with the Rapids first team in 2016. The 6-foot, 172-pound keeper attended Grandview High School.
