Denver police have arrested a 38-year-old man in the Wednesday shooting death of a man on Morrison Road, police say.

Keith Leonard Lamebull is being held for investigation of first-degree murder in the death of Benjamin Lorenzo, according to a Friday news release by Doug Schepman, Denver police spokesman.

Lamebull has an extensive criminal history dating back to 1996. He has been convicted of receiving stolen property, car theft, drug possession, smuggling contraband into prison, menacing with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon by a felon, according to Colorado Bureau of Investigation records.

He was on probation in 2012 when he was arrested in Denver for aggravated robbery and menacing with a deadly weapon. The robbery charge was dismissed in a plea bargain in which he pleaded guilty to menacing with a weapon and was sentenced to five years in prison.
