Adams County authorities are investigating after sheriff’s deputies found a man fatally shot early Monday near Westminster.
The man was found about 3 a.m. on the 7100 block of Ruth Way — near the intersection of U.S. 36 and North Pecos Street — by deputies responding to reports of a disturbance. He was taken to an undisclosed hospital and pronounced dead.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office says its detective division is investigating the case, which has been classified as a homicide investigation.
“This is an ongoing investigation and additional details cannot be released at this time,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
