Arvada High School has lifted its lockdown, but the rooms need to be cleared before students can move around the building freely.

The school district announced the lockdown in a tweet posted about 11:15 a.m. Wednesday.

“District spokeswoman Diana M. Wilson said “whatever the threat was has been dealt with, I’m just not sure what that threat was yet.”

Further details were not released.

Jill McGranahan, an Arvada police spokeswoman, said at about 11:45 a.m. that she didn’t have any information on the incident to share.

The district said it would post more information as it became available.

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
