No. 6 Cherry Creek cruised to a 67-47 win over Arapahoe on Wednesday night in Greenwood Village, as the Bruins used distinct advantages in size and shooting en route to the Centennial League victory.

Senior Delaney Bernard paced the Bruins with 20 points, while junior Jaela Richardson had 18 points. Bernard was particularly deadly from beyond the arc in the second half, while the Warriors had no answer for Richardson in the paint.

Senior Maddie Matthews led the Warriors with 14 points, with additional contributions from sophomore Eliana McClarie (10 points) and junior Mia Middleton (8 points).

Arapahoe hung tough through the first quarter and into the second, but simply could not quell the Bruins’ momentum. By mid-third quarter, the Bruins had a 20-point lead and did not look back.

Arapahoe (13-7, 7-4) hosts Smoky Hill on Saturday at 1 p.m., while Cherry Creek (14-5, 10-1) is in action next on Friday night at 5:30 p.m. versus Eaglecrest.
