A man who was on the Denver-Lakewood border has been identified as 32-year-old Tim Cruz, authorities said.
Cruz was shot during a robbery at 4:33 a.m. Tuesday on the 1100 block of Sheridan Boulevard, according to the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
He was pronounced dead at the RTD station, according to a news release by Steven Castro, spokesman for the coroner’s office. The manner of death is homicide, Castro said.
Denver police released a surveillance photo of the two masked robbers Tuesday. No one has been arrested in the homicide, said Raquel Lopez, Denver police spokeswoman.

The suspects were wearing masks and backpacks when they approached the victim and robbed him at gunpoint. One of the suspects then shot the victim, according to a Denver Crime Alert. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
Cruz was the second person in eight days to be killed near a light rail station, through police say they don’t believe the cases are in any way connected.
On the night of Jan. 31, Joshua Cummings, 37, , 56, of Loveland, at a Lower Downtown RTD station, told him “to do as I tell you” and then shot him in the head, police have said. Von Lanken died on the way to the hospital.
