Spotlight on Paul Millsap: The on-again, off-again, Nuggets relationship with acquiring the all-star Atlanta forward has cooled for the moment. But itap not because of a sudden lack of interest from the Nuggets. The Hawks pulled Millsap off the trading block after word spread he was very much available early in January. Millsap, for his part, has been his steady self with averages of 17.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

Hawks: Atlanta has been dominant against the Nuggets at home over the years, going 33-7 all time, including a four-game winning streak over Denver at Philips Arena. The last time the Nuggets won a game there was March 16, 2011. … The Haws have hit a rocky stretch at home, losing three of their last five, including a 120-95 loss to Utah on Monday. … The Hawks are sixth in the NBA in assists per game, at 24.0, and fifth in steals (8.5). … In addition to the usual regulars who have played well for the Hawks, fourth-year shooting guard Tim Hardaway Jr. has been hot of late, averaging 22.7 points on 58.5 percent shooting, including 47.1 percent from the 3-point line, in his last three games.
