A man was shot in the back during an altercation in an Aurora parking lot on Saturday night.
The victim is in serious but stable condition, Chris Amsler, Aurora police spokesman, said on Sunday.
The shooter fled the scene in a dark colored sports utility vehicle.
Police responded to a parking lot at 9900 E. Florida Avenue after receiving a report of shots fired at about 7 p.m.
“There was some type of altercation in the parking lot between the occupants of two vehicles.”
Shots were fired, and a passenger in one of the vehicles was struck in the back.
