U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner, R-Colo.I want to commend and thank Sen. Cory Gardner for co-sponsoring a bipartisan resolution pledging the United States’ “unwavering commitment” to NATO. My parents were refugees from Latvia during World War II and lived seven years in a German displaced persons camp as a result of being driven out of Latvia by the Russians. Fortunately the United States welcomed us after the war. Russia cannot wait to get its grip back onto Latvia and the other Baltic states. The free world has to stand together and must not let that happen.
