Wanted no more. The staff at County Line Self Storage, 8198 Southpark Court, Littleton, called police Jan. 11 about a customer who was behind on his payments and possibly living in his storage unit. They had told him to leave but believed he was still there. Police found the man hiding under a staircase in the basement level. He was the subject of two active felony warrants including one for a violent crime causing death. He was arrested.
Motel bust. Police responded to reports of a suspicious man in the parking lot of the Wright Motel, 3020 S. Broadway, Englewood, Jan. 1. They located three men seated in a car there. One immediately ran but was quickly apprehended. He was a convicted felon carrying a gun. The driver and other passenger also fled, crashing into several cars on Broadway. One of those two was also apprehended on foot. The men were linked to drugs and weapons found at the motel.
Transaction gets scary. A man tried to buy gas and cigarettes at the Shell gas station at 2715 S. Santa Fe Drive, Englewood, Jan. 14 but his card was deemed “invalid.” He then pulled a gun on the clerk, demanded money and fled on foot.
Wine purloined. A beverage distribution company called police Jan. 13 after two cases of wine were stolen from one of its trucks when it was making a delivery at Total Wine & Liquors, 6901 S. Broadway, Littleton. Combined the cases were worth $266.57.
Vehicle trespass. A man living in the 6400 block of South Crocker Street, Littleton, discovered Jan. 11 that someone had entered his unlocked car overnight and shuffled through his things. Nothing was missing.
