COLORADO SPRINGS — Prosecutors in Colorado’s El Paso County are seeking the death penalty for the first time in a decade in a case where a man faces multiple count of murder for killing a former girlfriend and a man living inside a storage unit.
the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office announced plans Wednesday to seek Glen Galloway’s death.
The 44-year-old is charged with multiple counts of murder for back-to-back fatal shootings in Colorado Springs last year.
Court documents say Galloway shot where the victim was living. He then used Anderson’s pickup truck to drive to the home of his ex-girlfriend, , who was shot in the head. Galloway was previously convicted of stalking Nam.
El Paso County last pursued the death penalty in 2007 against Marco Lee, who fatally shot a police officer. He ultimately pleaded guilty in exchange for a life sentence.
