Loaded shopper. Police were called to the Walmart at 601 Englewood Parkway, Englewood, Jan. 30 on reports of an armed man inside the store. Officer spotted the 23-year-old suspect just outside and stopped him. He was illegally concealing a handgun in the front waistband of his pants. He was also carrying meth and heroin.

Nasty hit and run. A man was found lying in the intersection of South Logan Street and Colorado 285, Englewood, at 7:15 p.m. Jan. 8 with “massive trauma to his lower extremities.” Witnesses saw a dark-colored pickup truck leaving the area. Police are seeking more information.

Church goers burglarized. Two roommates living in the 7100 block of South Clay Street, Littleton, went to church on the morning of Jan. 15. When they returned, they found their front door left open. Their television, several other electronics and personal items had been stolen. They were adamant the house was locked when they left.

Abusive boyfriend arrested. Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 2300 block of West Main Street, Littleton, Jan. 16. Inside an apartment there, officers found a woman with significant bruising on her face and red marks on her neck. She said that she and her boyfriend had slept in that day and when they woke up he was enraged there was no food in the house. He called her names, slapped and choked her. Police found the boyfriend had multiple warrants out for his arrest. He was taken into custody in the apartment next door. He admitted he “bashed her up.”
