Denver prosecutors have charged three people — a man and two women — in the southwest corner of the city that left a 17-year-old boy dead.
Investigators believe that on Jan. 22, Kylie Mazzetta, 28, rear-ended a Maza sedan driven by 17-year-old Manuel Alejandro Castillo, killing him.

Mazzetta was charged on Jan. 26 with one count of vehicular homicide and another count of vehicular assault. She was arrested the night of the crash.

The Denver District Attorney’s Office says Manuel was stopped on the road at West Hampden Avenue near South Sheridan Boulevard because two other vehicles in front of him had paused were apparently preparing to street race.
The impact of the crash pushed the teen’s vehicle into a car driven by 22-year-old Fred Junior Gutierrez-Flores, investigators say. He was charged on Feb. 14 with manslaughter, leaving the scene of a crash involving death and reckless driving.

Gutierrez-Flores was arrested on Feb. 9.
The other stopped vehicle was allegedly driven by 25-year-old Brazelle Martinez, according to prosecutors. She was charged on Tuesday with manslaughter, leaving the scene of a crash involving death and reckless driving. She was arrested on Feb. 15.

A passenger in Castillo’s vehicle was also hurt in the wreck.
Castillo died of blunt force injuries, the city’s coroner said.
All there people charged in the wreck had their bail set at $50,000, which was posted, the Denver District Attorney’s Office says.
