
Nunchuk owner arrested. A man was arrested at an apartment complex in the 14400 block of East Fremont Avenue, Arapahoe County, January 30 after a woman reported he approached her in her car late at night. Officers found him nearby practicing with two pairs of nunchuks. He was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
Water impostor. An elderly couple living and undisclosed address in Greenwood Village got a visit Feb. 11 from a man claiming to work for a water company. He said he needed to check if they were having water problems and “forced his way in” without providing identification. He was there a short time. The next day, the couple discovered several pieces of jewelry, including the wife’s wedding ring, had been stolen.
Found pipes. A family living in the 18100 block of East Weaver Drive, Arapahoe County, found glass pipes in their garage Feb. 11 that had been used to smoke meth. They called police because they believed one family member had been abusing drugs. He recently lost his job and they were worried about him. The man admitted to police he used meth. He was issued a summons.
Case closed. A man left his truck in a parking lot at 800 E. Belleview Ave., Greenwood Village, over night Feb. 5. He couldn’t find it the next day and reported it stolen. Officer located it in the area Feb. 7 and determined it was never stolen.Plate problems. Staff at used car seller Auto Source LLC, 6635 S. Dayton St., Greenwood Village, reported that three dealer license plates had been stolen from cars there between Aug. 1 and Feb. 17. Total loss: $450.
